My Vision 2017-2022 as envisaged in the Kenya Vision 2030 is twigged in the following pillars: Advocacy in the equitable distribution of resources, economically, socially and politically with an aim of improving people's living standards.
MY OBJECTIVE FOR MY COUNTY
ALCOHOLISM
Past Record Achievements
-
Advocating against illicit brewing and vending of killer alcohol since 1999. Also involved in the pouring in Kirinyaga, Embu, Nakuru, Murang’a, Dandora – Nairobi, Kiambu and Nyeri counties.

Vehemently condemning brewing, selling and drinking of killer brews on social and media platforms as senior respected journalist.

Implementing empowerment projects for those who have reformed, restoring back families destroyed by extreme alcoholism.

Future Plans

Launch a Reformed Educational Program (REP) for school drop outs especially those affected by alcoholism across the county from primary to high school to KCSE certificate level.

Initiate backyard cottage industry to absorb the reformed population.
EDUCATION
Past Record Achievements

She is a re-known and an established scholar holding a Master’s Degree in Journalism and currently writing her PhD thesis, a mentor to many journalists for 21 years.

She funded and managed Smart Media Colleges since 2005 a home to many successful journalists in East Africa.

Is currently sponsoring 13 children without donor aid; 4 in primary, 7 in high school, 1 in university and 1 in college.

Shel has served as a board member in Kariai-ni Secondary School and Murang’a Teachers College between 2009-2013, contributing immensely to educational development.

She is a mother to over 300 children with ambiguous sexual condition where she has assisted 12 to get education civil and legal recognition.

As an authority in public health communication, she has lead in advisory on customer satisfactory survey for Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI).

She has authored the community health workers training manual for the Ministry of Health (Department of Malaria Control).
Future Plans

Past Record Achievements

An authority in public health communication, she has been a forefront campaigners against maternal and infant mortality, malaria, ebola, influenza, rotavirus as a media celebrity with development partners; USAID, MoH, P.S.I., R.T.T.

She has authored a malaria training manual for CHW’s consulting for MoH.

Conducted customer satisfaction survey for KEMRI assessing health needs.

Recently consulting for Lotto Foundation on matters of social empowerment.

Conducted several medical camps offering both diagnostic and curative solutions across the country.

Helping children with ambiguous sexuality get medical-surgical intervention.

Future Plans

Establish a community based health resource center which offers simple health issues on healthy lifestyle, common ailments and maternal and child health. It will work hand in hand with MoH and county government.

AGRIBUSINESS
Past Record Achievements

She is a serious consultant and investor in agribusiness communication and hence understands the agricultural market trends.

She has given farmers a platform to interact, lean and share experiences in faming to improve livelihoods. Such platforms include farmers training, demonstrations in farms and exhibitions.

Every year she has organized a comprehensive farmers’ day with tremendous success stories from farmers and stakeholders.

She has been the brains behind successful Al Projects in Kenya.
Future Plans
-
Establish an intra-county trade system that makes sure there is cash circulation in Kiambu County being such an endowed region with various agricultural products. Trucks will carry productsfrom one market and drop to the next and carry back for traders products that are not produced in their area on a daily basis.

Attract international traders to export locally available products like bananas e.g. Somaliland
THE FAMILY UNIT AND CULTURE
Past Record Achievements

She has been in the forefront promoting family values, social cohesion and cultural heritage through serial program that reconciles people.

She is a strong defender of the family unite, a mentor and a living example though he own marriage.

Future Plans

Establish a parenting academic program across the county to mentor young parents on responsible parenting in collaborating with churches and faith based institutions.

She plans to establish a comprehensive rescue and recovery center for domestic violence victims to get treatment, psycho-social intervention and legal aid to bring perpetrators to book.

She plans to launch a toll free short code for victims of GDBV to report and get help within 30 minutes.

Facilitate widows and widowers to access grants and loans.

Establish a county legal unite deals with family issues – aid for vulnerable persons such as widows and widowers orphaned children and the physically challenged.
YOUTH
Past Record Achievements

Been a counselor and a mentor to over 3,000 reformed youths. One such is young navy officer in Mombasa who reformed and is success story.

Has mentors many of job markets.
Future Plans
-
Hold an annual investors conference / forum with youth from Kiambu County to facilitate interaction with potential employers. There will be a recruitment for all investors through political good will to employ at least 30% of resident youth from Kiambu.

Establish a website with which enlists the available skilled labor within the county to that though the office of the women rep can be connected to potential employers.

Organize an annual talent search for Kiambu youth to promote growth and development in sports and entertainment.
